> Dr Caroline Partridge

Caroline has a PhD in Psychology from the University of York, and joined Solutions at the beginning of Jan 09. She has worked both client and agency-side and in both the commercial and public sector over the last 15 years in research.

She started her research career at BT before joining consultancy Chimera and subsequently RS Components and is experienced at both qualitative and quantitative research. Caroline has worked on a range of different research issues including many media focused projects, NPD, technology and sensitive issue research. Caroline has extensive experience in researching new media and communications technology. She has researched communication differences in electronic brainstorming versus face to face groups, teens’ use of online forums and communication on eBay, and has presented several papers and Special Interest Groups at the yearly global CHI (computer human interaction) conferences.

Out of work, Caroline has an array of hobbies – she is a Maine Coon cat breeder under the name Hearthrug Maine Coons (www.hearthrug.co.uk), and is a qualified Pet Behavioural Therapist. She also takes part in live role play, and enjoys cooking and baking - she recently dipped a toe into the world of competitive cupcakery, and has several times been a runner up in Iron Cupcake competitions.
